BABY ELEPHANT RESCUED

BHAWANIPATNA, 17 SEPTEMBER:

A lone baby elephant loitering in search of its mother was traced on Monday near Gadiajore MIP close to Regdimal village under Narla range of North Kalahandi' forest division. Forest staff after tracking the baby elephant by drone rescued it and safely shifted to forest department nursery at Chipul for its protection. 

Incidentally on 13th September a female elephant was found dead in a field near Regdimal village. The postmortem report is awaited. The rescued baby elephant is suspected to be the child of the dead female elephant.
